Panel collects the sunlight and converts it into DC power. Primarily we provide 3 types of panels for any PV installation jobs. These panels are based on Monocrystalline, Polycrystalline and Amorphous (or Thin Film) technology. Depending on operation environment and requirement, we choose the panel type to maximize the system performance and the customers’ investment return.

For most of the residential installation in South East Queensland, we will recommend the monocrystalline panel for the reasons of output efficiency and smaller occupied roof area. For the outback or remote areas where they have harsh weather conditions, we will suggest the thin-film panel to achieve high energy yield over the year. Panel cost is still the dominant factor in any PV project. Panel quality can vary significantly from one manufacturer to another because of the quality control during the manufacturing process. For a typical 190W panel, the price could differ by $30 ~ $50 nowadays. To ensure the life time warranty (~25 yrs) and performance, we prefer to source panels from those reliable and experience manufacturers. Our first recommendation is CSUN for monocrystalline panel and NexPower for thin-film panel.

NexPower is a pioneer of thin-film silicon solar PV technology in Taiwan. They are a subsidiary of the world-class leading semiconductor foundry, United Microelectronics Corporation (NYSE: UMC). Their panels are ranked one of the high-energy yield panels in the world. More important is that their panels do not contain Cadmium, a toxic material in some thin film products. Inverter converts DC power into AC power for our every day appliance usage. Two types of inverters are generally available: grid-connect or off-grid. We purchase our inverters mainly from the local wholesalers. This helps us to provide the greatest design flexibility and the best value-for-money system to our customers.
